Terms and Conditions of Hire

 The hired property shall be used solely for holiday purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing by the owners. The hirer must vacate the property at the termination of the hire. The flat will be available from 1600hrs on the first day of hire and must be vacated by 1100hrs on the final day of the hire, however if you are travelling to Shetland on the ferry please ask if early check in is available. The owner reserves the right to enter the premises at all reasonable times for the purposes of inspection, repair or other essential work or in the event of an emergency.

 

Pets

It is with regret that we cannot permit pets within our property.

 

Cleaning

The apartment is cleaned between each let. The turn-around time is quite tight, so we request that our guests leave the flat in the same condition as they found it, leaving it in an untidy/dirty condition will result in guests being invoiced for cleaning.

 

Charges

Our charges include bed linen and towels and heating and lighting.

 

Booking Deposit

A deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking, and the remainder will become due for payment four weeks before your arrival date. Bookings made within four weeks of your arrival date must be paid for in full at the time of booking. To insure against damage, a safety deposit, of £150 is payable on arrival and will be refunded at the end of your stay.

 

Please note that by completing a booking form and making a deposit payment, you (the hirer) have entered into a legal agreement. This means you are bound to abide by the conditions of hire and any other reasonable instructions given by the property owner.

 

Insurance

We would advise you to take out travel insurance once you have made your booking. Otherwise, you may lose money if for any reason you have to cancel your trip.

 

How to pay

Either by cheque or bank transfer.

 

Number of guests/occupants

We request that you let us know when you book how many people will be staying in the flat, which may be done when you fill in the initial booking form.

 

Loss or damage

Guests (the hirers) shall be responsible for any damages or breakages to the property, furnishings, etc. All damages, breakages or loss must be reported and paid for prior to departure; otherwise, the safety deposit will be retained.

 

Smoking

We do not permit smoking within the apartment. This is for Health and Safety Reasons and for the comfort of future guests.

 

Wi-Fi

There is free wi-fi available, with good signals for all mobile phone accounts.
